Renovation,
maintenance and organisation of various activities build up our daily
life. However, the site of the castle is an unique resource for all
types of projects, events and activities.
The premises of the castle provide us with opportunity to host training courses, seminars, meetings of organisations…
Poultry-yard and garden allows us to host educative groups of youngsters…
Forest offers to discover fauna and flora and a project, which is underway – water cycle around the site of castle.
Green area around the castle provides camping opportunity.
Meadows can serve as pasture of animals…
Surroundings are favourable for summer workcamps…
Bread
oven and pottery oven as well as the workshop of basketry are at our
disposal for handicraft activities…
The castle of Prureaux is very isolated place. However, it offers immense opportunities for the development of projects.
During the last years we have organised:
in 2006: the project on eco-citizenship – construction of ‘green toilet’;
in 2005: hosting a session of “marche pour la décroissance”, a socio-cultural event;
1997-2004: cultural and handicraft funfair, organised by local craftsmen with the help of international volunteers, each year it took place in the end of September;
in 2003: “Caravan for peace” – a couple, organising a pacifistic march to Jerusalem, arrived to castle to construct the wooden caravan
in 2002: “Footsbarn Travelling Theatre” – a theatre troupe based in Allier presented a spectacle to local public in the courtyard of the castle.
